IF was developed to offer training scholarships to individuals entering, or hoping to enter, the technology industry. Based on the success Interapt has proven since 2015 training and placing people within the tech industry, IF offers a simple vehicle for Individuals, Philanthropic Organizations, and Corporate Sponsors to give the gift of knowledge.
Our program is geared towards up-skilling or re-skilling people transitioning into a career in technology. The net effect will be a living wage in an industry that has a forever trajectory.
Technology touches all labor, directly and indirectly. Therefore the pool of opportunity is endless.
In an effort to fill the talent gap that many organizations experience, we offer a no risk option for organizations to hire newly trained people. This in turn gives opportunities to the new trainees and creates a path to a sustainable career.
We attract the unfound talent then train them. The talent gap is our opportunity.
Mission {
Fund the education of overlooked talent to guide them toward a Career in Technology
The Model
IF’s “zero to job-ready” solution for workforce development has been honed over the last 3 years, during which time we’ve placed nearly 100 adults into their first technology careers. With our new training partner, General Assembly, our program offers the global standard in IT training curricula.
The Apprenticeship:
Graduates who begin work with our hiring partners have an exciting opportunity to further their professional growth through Interapt’s Registered Apprenticeship. Interapt has worked with the Urban Institute, the Kentucky Labor Cabinet, and state governments across the country, to become an approved provider of Software Development and Help Desk Support Technician apprenticeships. These apprenticeships are 12 month, full-time jobs where each hour of work is tracked toward continued learning and career growth while assigned to client projects. This is an invaluable asset to accelerating our graduates into their technology careers.

Gregg
Since his arrival in Louisville in 2007 Gregg has developed deep relationships with the leaders and the doers in the city. Much of his time is spent raising capital for impact projects within Louisville Metro. The revitalization of the Portland Neighborhood has been a passion of Gregg’s and his experience in closing complex deals within that neighborhood adds value to IF’s mission.
